About Us

Family Owned and Operated Since 1893

For over a century, Woodlawn Cemetery’s mission has been to help meet your family's needs during the difficult life transitions that all of us must face. Our entire team is committed to serving you with compassion, dignity, and empathy. As a result, most of our new business is from referrals. We are also the only remaining family-owned and operated cemetery in Knoxville, which not only adds value to our services, but also enables us to keep prices well below other areas in Tennessee and throughout the country.

We Are Here to Assist and Guide You in Your Planning

How is this possible? Over a decade ago, when the "death industry" tried to acquire all of Knoxville's cemeteries and create a monopoly, Woodlawn's owners stood by our values and refused to sell out. Since then, and since we started in 1893, we have made it our mission to provide exceptional service for our families. We build our reputation on offering superior service and serving all faiths, cultures, and communities with dignity, integrity and professionalism. Our compassionate shareholders, management team, and staff are here to assist and guide you through this difficult time.
